LowPing is not on the App Store yet. If you are testing it through TestFlight, or you just have a question, write to us anyway.
When you write about a problem, please include your iOS version, your device model, and the app version. You will find it inside LowPing under Settings, then About.
Common questions
- Does LowPing make my ping lower?
- No. LowPing shows you your ping, which is how long a message takes to reach an address and come back, plus how many messages get lost along the way. Your internet traffic never goes through LowPing. It only watches and reports, like a thermometer. It does not touch anything.
- When does LowPing come out, and what does it cost?
- LowPing is in final testing and will be free to download. Email us if you would like a note when it is live.
- Why does LowPing ask for Local Network permission?
- iOS requires this permission before any app can talk to devices on your own network, like your router. LowPing asks only so pings to local addresses work. Nothing is scanned or collected.
- Why do my results differ from a speed test?
- Speed tests measure bandwidth, which is how much data can move at once. LowPing measures how quickly a single message makes the round trip, and how many get lost. They answer different questions about the same connection.
- How do I delete diagnostics data?
- Open Settings inside LowPing and tap Diagnostics. It shows exactly what is stored on your phone and has a one tap delete. Nothing is ever uploaded.
